Qi35 Driver Comparison | Identifying the Right Model for You
The key to unlocking distance and forgiveness starts and ends with two performance components when creating a driver: CG Projection and Moment of Inertia (MOI). Traditionally, driver construction is a choice between high MOI and low CG, but not with the all-new Qi35 driver family. TaylorMade engineers were able to marry high MOI and low CG together to unlock another level of driver performance for you in 2025.
Qi35 comes in four models: Qi35, Qi35 Max, Qi35 LS and Qi35 Max Lite. We will break down the similarities and differences of each model later on in this article but first let’s educate you on the technology that will unlock more distance and more forgiveness in 2025.
MORE DISTANCE FROM MORE OF THE FACE
We introduced you to the importance of MOI in the predecessor to Qi35, but CG Projection may be an engineering metric you are not familiar with. CG projection is a measurement of the balance point of the head projected onto the face which can help define launch conditions of the driver.
In simpler, more general terms, when the ball is struck above that balance point, it is launched higher with less spin for a longer drive. When the ball is struck below that balance point, it creates more spin, lower launch and a shorter drive.
We lowered that balance point in Qi35 to create a larger area of opportunity on the face for improved launch conditions resulting in more distance from more of the face# for each driver in the Qi35 family.
Through interchangeable Trajectory Adjustment System (TAS) weights, the CG projection of Qi35 LS and Qi35 can be further optimized to create the most mass efficient CG adjustments for shot shape and control. We will go more in depth on how to fine tune these weights for your needs later in the article.

When it comes to MOI, our engineers continued to incorporate more carbon into the head with chromium carbon fiber, fourth generation Carbon Twist Face™ and an Infinity Carbon Crown. The maximization of carbon removed excess weight and allowed us to apply it farther back in the head for increased MOI and maximize the benefit of the TAS weights.
This benefit is maximized in the Qi35 model, where increased MOI with the 13-gram weight moved to the back creates 13 percent tighter dispersion than Qi10.* Qi35 Max continues to offer maximum forgiveness with 10K MOI.

Qi35: MORE FORGIVENESS & ADJUSTABILITY
The Qi35 Driver is ideal for a wide array of golfing abilities. It delivers explosive distance and undeniable forgiveness in a package that’s pleasing to the eye and inspires confidence.
To create the ability to move weight back and forward in the clubhead, Qi35 takes on the same high inertia shape seen in Qi35 Max. By increasing the overall length of the head front-to-back by eight millimeters, the design allows for two Trajectory Adjustment System (TAS) weights. There is a 13-gram weight in the back and a 3-gram weight in the front.
The positioning of these weights and the shape of the driver combine to allow the golfer to increase the MOI of Qi35 compared to its predecessor. The TAS weights also can be positioned to optimize CG projection for shot shape and control.
The results of this breakthrough combination of movable weights and high MOI? With the 13-gram TAS weight in the rear location creates 13 percent tighter dispersion than Qi10. If the weights are flipped, CG projection lowers closer to center face resulting in a distance gain of five yards*.
We also offer a Qi35 weight kit ranging from 3 to 15 grams for you to get even more precise in the performance of your driver. Pair that with the 4° loft sleeve seen in all Qi35 drivers and you can customize your driver to your exact wants and needs.
Qi35 MAX: LOWER CG & 10K FORGIVENESS
Delivering 10K MOI, the Qi35 Max Driver is designed for consistent performance for golfers seeking ultimate forgiveness without sacrificing superior distance.
Qi35 Max houses a rear fixed tungsten weight inside the all-new symmetric inertia generator amassing 34 grams without increasing overall head weight. This makes Qi35 Max the most forgiving driver of the family at 10K MOI, while lowering CG projection and improving launch conditions resulting in more distance1.
Qi35 LS: LOW SPIN, HIGH SPEED
The Qi35 LS driver is the lowest spinning driver in the Qi35 family with the lowest CG projection. Qi35 LS is ideal for players that are looking to optimize spin and launch.
With one 13-gram TAS weight in the back and two 3-gram weights in the front, CG in Qi35 LS can also be fine-tuned to the specific needs of the golfer. As you may remember, this model had a sliding weight in the past. With Qi35 LS, the TAS weights remove discretionary weight to allow for more significant changes in CG, launch conditions and spin.
By putting the 13-gram weight in the front toe position, CG decreases to below zero, the lowest CG projection of the entire Qi35 family. This pinpoint weighting provides more distance and lower spin.
Moving the 13-gram weight to the back position increases MOI with a slight increase in CG projection. The same weight kit offering of 3 to 15 grams we mentioned above for Qi35 can be utilized for Qi35 LS.
